Refund and Withdrawal Policy

For a student canceling after the fifth calendar day following the date of enrollment as defined by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania code 73.132 but prior to the beginning of classes, monies paid to the school shall be refunded except the nonrefundable amount of $500. If a student enrolls and withdraws or discontinues after the term has begun but prior to completion of the course, the following minimum refunds apply:

  1. During the first 7 calendar days of the course the tuition charges refunded by the school shall be 75% of the tuition for the course.
  2. After the first 7 calendar days, but within the first 25% of the course, the tuition refunded by the school shall be 55% of the tuition for the course.
  3. After 25% but within 50% of the course, the tuition charges refunded by the school shall be 30% of the tuition.
  4. After 50% of the course has been completed the student is entitled to no refund and expected to pay full tuition of $9,900.

The termination date for refund computation purposes is the last date of recorded attendance. Refunds shall be made within 30-calendar days of the date the student fails to enter, leaves the program or fails to return from a leave of absence. In addition to the non-refundable $500 registration fee, text books and supplies are not accepted for refund and are valued at $500.

Attendance Policy

We show up every day prepared and ready to teach. We expect students to show up to all classes, ready to learn and participate. You only get out of the program what you bring to it. We will provide you with all the necessary skills, experience and instruction to graduate successfully from the Therapeutic Massage Program. And it is necessary for you to be present for the entirety of the classes, clinic hours and community outreach programs. All of this is part of your 650 hour education.

We recognize that unexpected circumstances will arise during the program, and therefore, will assist the student in obtaining the missed information/hours where feasible. A maximum of 4 absences or 20 hours are permitted during the 650 hour program. Due to the concise nature of the curriculum, excessive class absences may lead to dismissal from school. Classes begin and end at the scheduled times and all students are required to be punctual. Students who are tardy or absent will not be given credit for the time missed from class and MUST make up all missed time or it will be counted toward absences.

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of the program, Graduates will receive a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage. Successful completion includes a minimum of 630 clock hours in attendance, 70% or higher in all courses and final exams as well as fulfillment of financial obligations. Graduates of our Therapeutic Massage Program qualify to sit for the MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination). Health Requirements

ITMB must be immediately notified of any physical conditions which would prevent a student from administering or receiving a massage or that in any way endanger the other students or staff. Determination of ability to participate in classes will be made on an individual basis. In the event, participation is impossible for medical reasons, the student will have the option of continuing at a later date or discontinuing classes completely. A refund will be made of prepaid tuition in accordance with the refund policy of ITMB.
